Most people want to have choice and control over their life.
- Where do you want to live?
- Who do you want to spend time with?
- Do I want to learn new skills?
- Do I want to find employment or work experience?
- What do I want to do during the day, evening and weekends?
- How can I do these things?
- How do I find out what choices are available?
- Where do I start?
Most of us need support from other people from time to time. The Enabling and Advocacy
Project supports people on a one-to-one basis to explore their aims,
goals and dreams. We work with people in a person-centered way,
enabling the individual to take the lead in exploring opportunities
within the community.
The Enabling and Advocacy team, which includes Outreach Workers and Volunteers, support individuals to:
- Explore there own aims, goals and dreams.
- Work towards these aims, goals and dreams.
- Put structures in place to support positive change.
Enabling and Advocacy work with people who are 16-65 years of age who have:
physical disabilitysensory impairment
learning difficultiesacquired brain injury
mental ill health
